Forensic Accountant, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Tanya is a CPA, CFE, CISA, CIA. She currently works for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a forensic accountant who has specialized in cyber-facilitated financial crimes.
Prior to joining the FBI, Tanya worked for many years as an independent consultant through her own company Cooper Strategic Solutions where she worked predominantly for private equity firms as an Interim Chief Accounting Officer or CFO working on mergers, acquisitions and restructuring projects including accounting system implementations.
Tanya’s career also includes a number of years in audit…both external and internal at various companies such as KPMG, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Covansys Corporation, a publicly traded technology company with significant operations in India. Tanya also served several years as a Board of Governor Member and President of the Detroit Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Prior to becoming an accountant, Tanya was a professional singer. She has two sons, ages 30 and 28 who gave her her most precious designation M.O.M. She is a devout Green Bay Packers Fan.
