NRS Privacy Kit                  

NRS Privacy Kit simplifies compliance with SEC Regulation S-P, privacy disclosure requirements for broker-dealers and investment advisers. Our Privacy Kit includes a privacy notice software "wizard" that allows you to easily comply with Regulation S-P.

Under this Regulation, all broker-dealers and investment advisers are required to provide “clear and conspicuous” privacy notices to their clients, and must also put into place a number of policies and procedures concerning their privacy practices. The privacy regulations are quite extensive, but the most onerous apply to large firms who share client information with non-affiliated third parties. However, all broker-dealers and investment advisers are required to disclose their information-sharing practices, regardless of whether or not they actually share client information.

NRS Privacy Kit provides an inexpensive but informative means for meeting basic privacy requirements.

The kit includes:

• A Questionnaire that takes a firm through possible information sharing practices and, from the responses to the questions asked, automatically customizes the firm’s privacy notices.
• A plain English summary of Regulation S-P, giving the firm the information they need, in summary fashion.
• An "audit checklist," to be utilized internally, on an on-going basis, to ensure that current and correct policies and procedures are maintained.

NRS can also provide individually designed privacy consultation and mock examinations for firms whose information sharing practices are more complicated or detailed.
